Artist's Description
PARIS NIGHTLIFE oil painting detail Mona Edulesco.
This is a Close-up DETAIL of "Le Recrutement Cafe Paris", my textured impasto palette knives oil painting on canvas 60x80cm (24x31inches), 2019. This work was a custom commission painting for an art collector from United States. The painting captures a night scene of this beautiful Parisian Café, from where we have a magnificent view of the Eiffel Tower. You can view it in my "Commissioned artwork" collection.
As for the reference photos for this work, I took them myself when I was visiting Paris... The neighborhood is very beautiful and chic, plenty of nice Cafés Bars, fancy bakeries, historical buildings or elegant shops. Not to mention it hosts the inescapable Parisian icon, LaTour Eiffel.

It can be seen as a form of textural modern impressionism, as I use thick layers of oil paint to achieve a vibrant movement in my works. I am absolutely fascinated by the explosive thick...
