Description
"Eiffel Tower and Paris Rooftops at Night" is a textured stylized cityscape impasto palette knife oil painting on stretched canvas 25x25 cm (10x10 inches), 2019.
This painting captures a Night view of Paris rooftops with the silhouette of Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Towers in the distance.
I often travel to Paris and I always find there my inspiration. It has a special magic for me and I hope you can feel it through my paintings...

I have always loved to approach my urban paintings in a myriad of ways. I enjoy stylizing architectural forms in various manners. This has always been one of my goals, even a preoccupation from the time I was studying at the school of architecture until the present. The versatility of oil paint along with my prototypic work with palette knives allows me to play with the urban forms abstracting the city in an unconstrained manner.

Paris is the capital of France and the country`s largest city. It is situated on the river Seine, in northern France, at the heart of the Ile-de-France region. The City of Paris, within its limits largely unchanged since 1860 is today one of the world`s leading business and cultural centres, and its influence in politics, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world`s major global cities. Paris is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, with over 30 million foreign visitors per year. There are numerous iconic landmarks among its many attractions, along with world-famous institutions and popular parks.
Paris is a city to discover, seeing the sights, visiting the museums, they're part of the experience. But then jump on the metro or a bus and get off at a place you've never heard of, wander through a quartier where French mixes with Arabic or Vietnamese, have lunch in a local restaurant, poke your head into mysterious shops, or just perch on a cafe terrace with a vin blanc and let yourself fall in love with the city.

Mona, how very wonderful to view an oil painting of this Paris view, having previously so very much enjoyed your violet toned watercolor! It's always exciting to me to watch your new expressions. Tone, color, texture, composition, always they fascinate. But there is something beyond even those qualities which puts your art apart for me that is consistently so vibrant and free and dynamic. This Eiffel Tower and Paris Rooftops at night is glorious. L/F
