"Artist painting by the window" by Mona Edulesco.
Original watercolor and ink painting on a high quality 300 g/m - 140lb Acid Free Arches watercolor paper 14x21 cm (5,5x8,5 in).
A woman is painting her window view, the beautiful Paris rooftops with the Eiffel Tower in distance. This is a sort of self portrait that I made during these quarantine days. The only things imagined in this work are the view (as I am living in Lyon right now, not in Paris) and the cat (it is one of the cats that I had in my childhood, his name was Felix).
Otherwise I paint every day next to my window. :)
This work is part of the "Window People" series which I have started many years ago. The latest two months I created new artworks for this series, inspired by the current context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
